Hiring a private lifeguard for a pool party in San Diego is one of the smartest safety decisions you can make. At Summit Aquatics, our private lifeguards provide dedicated supervision for backyard pool parties, events, and family gatherings.
When kids are swimming, ability levels are mixed, or adults are distracted, having a certified lifeguard focused only on the water reduces risk significantly. For families in La Jolla, Del Mar, and Rancho Santa Fe, this is about peace of mind, not just rules.

At Summit Aquatics, every private lifeguard is trained and certified in lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and First Aid. Many of our guards are certified through organizations like the American Red Cross.

We recommend a maximum of one lifeguard for every 20 guests in the pool at a time. For events with younger swimmers, beginners, or limited visibility, additional lifeguards may be recommended to maintain full safety coverage.

We recommend booking your private lifeguard at least 1–2 weeks in advance, especially during summer in San Diego when demand is highest.
For larger events or weekends in areas like Encinitas or Carlsbad, earlier booking is the best way to secure your spot.
